Artist and sculptor Antoine Bourdelle’s house, gardens and studio were transformed into a commemorative museum gallery upon his death. This eclectic 20th century collection features sculpture, furniture, paintings, bronzes and a sculpture garden.

Musée Bourdelle in Paris is now hosting Madame Grès: La Couture à L’œuvre (Couture at Work), the first-ever exhibit devoted to the haute couture designer. Erica Hewins reviews the retrospective and adds historical details about how Grès challenged Nazis then occupying Paris during World War II and the high price she paid for her bravery.
