St Germain l’Auxerrois
A mixture of Renaissance and Gothic architecture, St Germain l’Auxerrois was built as the church for the Palais du Louvre, today’s Louvre Museum. It houses lovely stained glass windows, including rose windows from the Renaissance period, and it boasts the only surviving Romanesque bell tower, dating from the 12th century. Its remarkable organ was originally ordered by Louis XVI for Sainte Chapelle.
