Hello! i am Spanish and my huband is French/Tunisian. We got married in Paris and it was super easy. Stop by the mairie of your arrondissement and ask them what you need. Congratulations!!!

Getting married in France is easy IF one of you is a French resident and you're willing to wait 40 days to post the bans. But don't think you won't need to supply a ton of papers that have all been issued within 90 days of your application. That includes (even) your birth certificate.

Go figure.

I'm an American who is engaged to an American/French (dual citizenship) gal. In this situation, is it easiest to get a legal marriage in the US (where we currently reside) than have a church wedding in France? Or is it easiest to have both the legal (at the mairie) and the church wedding in France?
