Paris Ice Skating Rinks: Trocadero, Eiffel Tower and Hotel de Ville (Video)

This public skating rink was part of the annual Christmas market held at Trocadéro opposite the Eiffel Tower. The rink is gone now, but consider adding this to your December 2012 travel itinerary. Talk about skating with a view!
If you're headed to Paris soon: you can still skate on groomed artificial ice at Hôtel de Ville and the Eiffel Tower.

Hôtel de Ville skating rink
Métro: lines 1 & 11, stop: Hôtel de Ville
Dates: until March 4, 2012
Cost: Rink access is free for those with skates; €5 to rent skates (adults and children's sizes with double-blade skates for kids); gloves are required. ID will be requested to rent skates.
Open Monday through Friday, 12pm—10pm; Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 9am–10pm.
Free lessons on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10am—12pm
Note: ticket sales end one hour before closing time
Eiffel Tower skating rink up high on the first level

Open daily 10:30am —10:30pm
Prices: Free for children under 4 years.
Ticket required to climb stairs to 1st level: Adults: € 4.70 / € 3.70 Kids 12-24 years / Children 4-11 years: € 3.20
Tickets elevator (includes 1st and 2nd levels): Adults: € 8.20 / Youth 12-24 years: € 6.60 / Children 4611 years: € 4.10
Access to the rink is free to all visitors to the Eiffel Tower. Personal skates are not allowed.
