Cara aspires to a Parisian state of mind - their manifesto for life, their appreciation for les petits plaisirs.  She comes by her love of France honestly: her grandmother was French; her mother lives in Paris; and her boyfriend is Parisian.

Here are a few things you should know about her:

She is loquacious, contradictory, and warm; occasionally, she hibernates - during the wintertime or prolonged bouts of self-reflection. During these periods, she likes a full-bodied red wine accompanied by steak frites.

She prizes her Le Petit Prince print and unwieldy postcard and French poetry collections.

She covets experiences more than things.  More importantly, she subscribes to Colette's philosophy that one dream is not enough.

She has a postgraduate diploma from the London School of Journalism and most recently worked in digital media.

She was Toronto-based, but moved to Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire in January 2012, where she blogs about her experiences on www.caraincocody.com.

Her travel articles have been featured on Indie Travel Podcast and inTravelmag.com. She was also the Luxury Travel blogger for Sympatico.ca Travel.

She is working on two features for Glimpse.org that will be published in spring 2012.
